Here's wishing for a very Happy New Year
Anything new has a special aura around it. It cld be a new dress, new book or a new vaccine. The moment it is new, it invokes interest, draws attention. Language, culture, region none of them are barriers- from a new recipe to pathbreaking lifesaving research, a new one commands attention. New things also bring in suspicion, worry of the unknown and imaginary demons. As humans, we are known to embrace change, albeit some slower than others, and we find new ways, new paths to forge ahead.

And as a faithful reminder to us, comes the New Year. Every year, like clockwork!! Just like that, we are given a chance to slow down, rejuvenate, rethink, and start over. Ok, maybe not start over, but realign. Recharge our batteries and prepare with hope for a wonderful year ahead, with seasons and festivals and landmarks in our own families and careers to look forward to.

2020 has been trying. Very trying. I am personally very happy that I chose this year to launch Quiet Value Woman. I needed something positive to channel my helplessness at everything that was happening. And I am so glad, so pleased with the way you have all responded, my fellow QV Women. From just signing up to show support, to embracing the platform with enthusiasm to post, share and comment, it has given new meaning to the phrase – women helping women.

I take this opportunity as founder of QV Woman to thank every one of you who signed up and participate. I am also thankful to all those of you who are not members yet send us links and articles you think are of relevance. 2021 holds a lot of promise for Quiet Value Woman. And I want to share it with all of you, because you are all an intrinsic part of making this happen.
Thank you for showing support.

Have a happy and safe new year.

See you all soon,
Aparna Saligrama.
