This is something bugging me for a long time.
How can we support small scale women entrepreneurs, people who do business from home - like, say, artificial flowers or making cupcakes or something like that? Or say jewelry making or selling from their home?
I am not just talking about how they can sell more stuff nor am I talking about digital organizers or Project Management apps (like Basecamp or whatever). But holistically, how can we support this group of women, who can definitely become a global market force and contribute to both local and national / international economy...
Not everyone is of the Tik Tok generation (and I honestly don't know how useful that is, how much it translates into sales), but what are some ways we can help small scale women entrepreneurs? Any ideas??
Hmm, as founder of QV Woman, I am not sure this is a direction I'd want to take this platform. There are plenty of other options available. I see it as a more rigorous discussion driven and thought provoking portal that spurs new ideas and helps sharpen thinking than building directories and lists.
But then again, if there is one thing I have learnt in life it is - never say never! With the right inducement and impetus maybe one day!! Thanks for asking though, makes me think, keeps me on my toes so to say!
So can we assume QV Woman is interested in this kind of thing- creating a directory for local businesses, sorted city-wise? (hint hint!!)
Go Local! Shop local. That is a sure shot way.
I think what we need is a directory of some sort, listing all local women entrepreneurs. It must be sorted via geography, what they are selling etc. And then efforts made to promote this directory and push people to buy local. People go to Amazon because it is easy.
But they may choose local if it is just as easy. Maybe not 2 day shipping or even free returns, but if it is easy they may do it...also, if you are online, you can also reach greater audiences...
