Mine is When The Body Says No, by Dr Gabor Mate. It's made me clearer on the connection between emotional trauma and physical illness.
For me, its a heavy one, not uplifting, or motivational. Exodus by Leon Uris.
It is a compelling portrayal of the travails of displaced persons, their point of view, which could be thought of as bereft of emotion by the average citizen, and made me wonder if any of our "hardships" are less than trivial.
In lighter reads, James Herriot series about the British veterinarian is one I enjoyed and Swami and Friends by R.K. Narayan that I recently went back to.
The first book that influence my personality was “How to win friends and influence people” by Dale Carnegie.
As fo fiction, Ian Fleming”s “James bond “ series. To this day i love it and see Bond movies. I am teased no end for this by my family, friends and everyone. Don’t mind.

Non fiction would be A brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. It is quite simply the best read I've ever had. As for fiction....hmmm... To Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee is a good one. I also like Shakespeare's Hamlet!
I have started reading Shakespeare's originals and what they say about his books are true- settings and contexts may change but the way he has captured human nature and their behaviors is amazing! The way the various characters are constructed, are very pertinent even to this day!
Alchemist for me...by Paulo coelho...
