Contemporary Art or child's work?
@Shalini Ramachandra's post Art is in the Eye of the Beholder has an image that reminded me of the article she probably got it from! How many times have we, as a layman observer wondered about pieces of abstract art and joked that it could be a toddler's work 😆
Attached is the Wall Street Journal article that dispels the fallacy and while still confusing to 1/3 of the survey respondents, the inexperienced eye is more discerning of art than we give ourselves credit for!
