Grateful for my community

I wrote a couple of blog posts today on my site about my beautiful community of Superior, Colorado. In My Staycation in Beautiful Superior, Colorado I briefly talked about how clean my community is and in Create a Walking Scavenger Hunt, I posted pictures of things in my neighborhood that made me happy like purple flowers, rocks with inspirational messages, beautiful scenery, etc.

At a time when there is so much sadness in the world, I'm grateful that I live in such a beautiful place amongst a caring community. But I also realize that I've had the privilege of living in a safe and well-kept community and many people don't have that. Though I'm grateful and want to show appreciation, I also wonder if it might be insensitive to share my good fortune at a time when there is so much grief and sadness about the recent events.

What do you think?
